Police Arrest Man After Glenroy Death

Fugitive Squad detectives have arrested a man this afternoon following the death of another man in Glenroy last month.

A 42-year-old Glenroy man was taken into custody at a hotel on King Street in the CBD around 12.30pm.

He will now be interviewed by detectives from the Homicide Squad.

His arrest follows the discovery a man's body in a Bindi Street property around 3pm on Sunday, 25 May.

The 67-year-old Shepparton North man had been fatally assaulted.

It's understood an altercation took place at the address earlier that morning and the parties involved were known to each other.

Detectives from the Homicide Squad and Fugitive Squad have conducted a significant search over the past 10 days in an attempt to locate the man.
