Liverpool's Powerhouse Of Arts

Liverpool City Council has rebranded Casula Performing Arts Centre as the Liverpool Powerhouse – Home of the Arts and Creative Industries.

"Liverpool's creativity hub is now in full powerhouse mode," said Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun.

"The name isn't just a facelift – it's a full-blown cultural reboot that affirms Liverpool's status as a major player in the arts, music, drama, entertainment and culinary scenes.

"This is about putting Liverpool where it belongs – front and centre as a creative and cultural leader.

"The transformation reflects Council's vision to support and showcase the city's rich cultural diversity, homegrown talent, and community spirit on the largest possible stage," Mayor Mannoun said.

"The venue will continue to deliver high-quality performances, exhibitions, creative programs, and industry partnerships—now with a brand that matches its ambition."

It's also a fine dining destination. Bellbird restaurant's serene riverside setting and a stylish, welcoming atmosphere is perfect for brunch, lunch, or a pre-show meal.

Whether you're a food lover or an arts enthusiast, Bellbird provides a unique dining experience where creativity and flavour meet.

It's also a major events hub, attracting tens of thousands of people a year to festival events and each weekend the Powerhouse Artisans and Growers Market attracts foodies from across Southwest Sydney.

"It's not just a venue for locals – it's for Greater Sydney and beyond. Liverpool Powerhouse will attract audiences, artists, and tourists from across Australia and around the world.

"The new identity makes the venue easier to find, easier to promote, and harder to ignore – especially for tourists and visitors who already know Liverpool as a place of rich history and vibrant culture.

"Council looks forward to unveiling the new brand through an exciting calendar of events and programs in 2025 and beyond," Mayor Mannoun said.
