Body Located As Inquiries Continue Into Man's Disappearance At Campbelltown

A man's body has been located following an extensive search of bushland in Sydney's southwest today.

In March 2025, police received a report that a man had gone missing in the Ingleburn area.

Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command immediately commenced investigations to locate him.

About 11.45am today (Saturday 24 May 2025), police – with assistance from NSW State Emergency Service – were conducting a land search in bushland near the Ingleburn area as part of a search for the missing man.

During the search the remains of a man suspected to be that of the 20-year-old were located.

Police have established a crime scene and detectives have commenced Strike Force Devon to investigate the incident.

The remains have been seized and will undergo a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.

Investigations under Strike Force Devon continue.
